Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Director of Patient Access to supervise front-end revenue cycle functions across Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, New England Baptist Hospital, and Mt. Auburn Hospital.

The role reports to the Vice President of Patient Access and drives staffing, training, and process improvements to optimize access and cash collections. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in patient access with 1–3 years in a leadership role, and a Bachelor's degree in business or health

Qualifications

• 5-8 years related work experience required and 1-3 years supervisory/management experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access).
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to Patient Access.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front-end revenue cycle functions including Registration, Scheduling, Admissions, and ED flow.
• Direct hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for staff.
• Monitor staff productivity, accuracy, and quality while ensuring data integrity across patient access systems.
• Coordinate with VP on department budget, capital planning, and salaries.
• Participate in design and implementation of new EMR functionality.
