Job summary

WM is seeking a Director, Wastewater Process Engineer to lead enterprise-wide landfill liquids management and treatment initiatives, reporting to the Sr. Director of ES&WT.

The role develops policies, procedures, and best practices for landfill liquids handling and disposal across facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong environmental performance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Biology, Chemistry or similar.
• At least 10 years total experience with 7+ years in industrial wastewater treatment design and operations.
• Master's degree preferred with 10+ years of experience and 3+ years of management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Directs development and implementation of landfill liquids management and treatment initiatives.
• Provides technical leadership for complex wastewater projects and compliance.
• Collaborates with internal and external experts on technology R&D and regulatory adherence.
