Job summary

WM is seeking a Director, Wastewater Process Engineer to lead enterprise-wide landfill liquids management initiatives. You will set policies and oversee treatment across facilities, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and driving performance improvements.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide complex projects, develop innovative treatment solutions, and collaborate with internal and external experts on technology development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Required: BS in engineering or related field with environmental focus.
• Experience in industrial wastewater treatment design and operations.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of landfill liquids management initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership for complex wastewater projects and R&D.
• Develop policies, procedures and best practices for treatment and disposal.
• Engage with regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
