Job summary

WM is seeking a Director, Wastewater Process Engineer to lead enterprise-wide initiatives for landfill liquids management and treatment. The role reports to the Sr. Director of ES&WT and develops policies, procedures, and best practices across the network of facilities.

The incumbent will guide technology development, monitor regulatory changes, and drive continuous improvement in wastewater management while balancing environmental compliance with business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental management, biology or chemistry.
• 10+ years of overall experience with 7+ years of industrial wastewater treatment design/ops.
• Master's degree preferred; 3+ years of management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy development, procedures, and best practices for landfill liquids handling, treatment and disposal.
• Provide technical leadership for projects across the organization and with external experts.
• Ensure regulatory alignment and environmental standards across facilities.
