Job summary

WM is seeking a Director of Wastewater Process Engineering to lead enterprise-wide landfill liquids management and treatment initiatives. You will establish policies, oversee programs, and drive compliance across all facilities, reporting to the Sr.

Director of ES&WT. You will provide technical leadership on complex projects, develop innovative treatment solutions, and coordinate with internal and external experts on R&D initiatives to improve operational efficiency and environmental

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering or related field required.
At least 10 years overall experience with 7+ years in industrial wastewater treatment design/operations.
Master’s degree plus 10+ years and 3+ years of management preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs policy development and programs for landfill liquids handling, treatment and disposal.
Leads design, permitting and construction of leachate treatment facilities.
Uses flow and mass balance tools to improve leachate treatment performance.
Collaborates with stakeholders on environmental compliance and technology development.
Ensures safety culture and leadership development across teams.
