Job description

The Director of User Services provides strategic, administrative, and fiscal leadership for the
public-facing library operations of the UA Little Rock Ottenheimer Library. Reporting directly to
the Dean of the Ottenheimer Library, this position serves as a key member of the senior
administrative leadership team, supporting library-wide strategic planning, policy development and
resource allocation to support the university's academic mission.

The Director provides leadership and operational oversight for a broad portfolio of user-centered
services, including information, reference, and technology support, circulation, course reserves,
resource sharing, and tangible collections management. The position drives the library’s marketing,
communication, and community engagement strategies; collaborates on public-facing digital
platforms and web presence; and leads data-informed assessment initiatives to evaluate service
impact, align with institutional student success outcomes and foster continuous improvement.
This position holds a 12-month, on-site faculty appointment with rank leading to tenure.
