Job summary

The University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks an Associate Director to lead public services, develop policies, monitor assessment data, and coordinate staff training for the OU-Tulsa campus. The role involves HR oversight, mentorship, and collaboration with campus leadership to advance services for students, staff, and faculty.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program or a terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
• Five or more years of professional experience in an academic or health sciences library setting.
• Two or more years of managerial experience in an academic or health sciences library setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all public services and develop policies and procedures for OU-Tulsa.
• Lead HR activities including recruiting, mentoring, and staff development; stand in for the Director when needed.
• Oversee liaison, instruction, research support, and mediated search services for faculty and students.
