Job summary

Park University seeks a Director of Library Services to provide strategic leadership for all library functions, collaborating with faculty and staff to advance the university’s mission and student outcomes. The role oversees the Norrington Center, digital resources, and distance learning support across six states and online.

Responsibilities include setting a forward-looking library vision, delivering and assessing services, and advocating for the library with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Experience in academic libraries preferred.
• Strong administrative and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategic directions, and priorities for the Library.
• Oversee development, delivery, and assessment of library services and programs.
• Advocate for the Library inside and outside the university and represent it with consortia.
• Serve as facility supervisor for the Norrington Center and related units.
• Oversee the Fishburn Archives and records retention processes.
• Lead library technology projects and manage vendor relationships.
