Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Head of Transportation to direct the strategic direction, governance, and execution of our transportation assets and fleet operations. You will drive reliability, route optimization, and enterprise-wide governance across regions while balancing cost, efficiency, and sustainability goals.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, experience managing large fleets, and a track record of improving fleet efficiency and reducing emissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, business or related field.
• MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years in transportation/logistics with 5+ years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise fleet reliability program and deploy transportation management system (TMS).
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA/OSHA compliance across the fleet.
• Partner with Procurement on fleet acquisition and 3PL strategy.
• Oversee capital planning and fleet replacement strategy, budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with regional teams to align transportation with sustainability targets.
