San Mateo County Transportation Authority seeks a Director of Project Delivery to oversee a broad portfolio of transportation programs funded by Measure A and W. The role leads project delivery from environmental clearance to design and construction, coordinating with Caltrans, local agencies, and the Express Lanes program.

The position requires strong leadership, governance, and policy development skills, with experience directing project managers and ensuring safety and performance standards

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in civil engineering, planning, construction management, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in civil project delivery or public works project management.
• Four (4) years of supervising professional and technical staff.
• Familiarity with transportation planning, engineering, and project delivery.
• Knowledge of Caltrans project delivery process.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the management and delivery of transportation capital projects from environmental clearance through design and construction.
• Provide direct technical assistance to local jurisdictions for SMCTA-funded projects.
• Monitor project delivery status and guide Project Managers to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain best practices, processes and procedures for capital project delivery.
• Support the San Mateo County Express Lanes Joint Powers Authority on capital program development.
• Establish coordination with stakeholders including Caltrans and local agencies.
• Serve on Change Management Boards and represent SMCTA on technical advisory committees.
