Qualifications

• Education: Civil Engineering and/or Transportation Engineering.
• License: California Class C driver's license; Registration as a Civil Engineer in California.
• Experience: At least seven years as a Transportation Engineer with the RTC.

Responsibilities

• Acts as project manager for complex regional priority projects and ensures timely, cost-effective delivery and compliance.
• Leads consultant selection and contract management (RFPs, bids, specifications, budgets, invoices).
• Mentors and provides technical engineering assistance; may serve in a supervisory role.
• Contributes policy recommendations related to agency priorities.
• Prepares or oversees studies, designs, calculations, cost estimates, maps, and plans.
• Performs professional transportation engineering work in field and office; may act as resident engineer on construction projects.
