Job summary

Affirm, a remote-first company, seeks a Head of Technical Account Management to lead a team of TAMs serving SMB merchants across the United States. You will guide technical success post-sale, optimize integrations, and drive product adoption.

You will mentor a high-performing TAM group, collaborate with Client Success, Product Management and Operations, and establish proactive plans and OKRs to meet growth goals. Equity and health benefits accompany a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a B2B customer-facing technical role.
• At least 3 years as a people manager.
• Strong technical background in web development and REST APIs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Bonus: experience solving e-commerce or retail tech problems.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and develop TAMs supporting SMB merchants.
• Collaborate with Client Success to grow merchants post-launch and optimize product usage.
• Set and track team OKRs and proactive action plans.
• Forecast TAM demand and recruit as needed.
• Evaluate new hires’ technical capabilities and handle escalations.
• Advocate for merchants across internal teams to align priorities.
