Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead end-to-end pursuit of new business and expansion opportunities. The role drives pricing, value messaging, and cross-functional team leadership to win contracts and meet a sales quota.

The position emphasizes new sales contracts, cross-sell opportunities, and solution selling across the Automotive, Aeronautical and Industrial verticals, with travel as required and a focus on strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• Five or more years of sales experience with quota attainment.
• Five or more years selling supply chain solutions and/or achieving quota >3 times within 60 months.
• Noncommercial Driver License CLASS E.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit and develop pricing strategy; plan proposals and attack strategy.
• Prospect new brands and build industry network to develop pipeline.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals.
• Provide continued commercial support on accounts.
• Explore cross-selling opportunities for existing clients.
• Transition new accounts to other directors after 24 months.
• Propose $120 million over 5-year period.
• Sign cross-sell opportunity SCS/DTS.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures including travel and expense policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
