Job summary

Urban Dove Team Charter School invites a Director of Operations to join its leadership team in Memphis, TN. This year-round role supports a distinctive network of charter high schools serving over-age, under-credited youth by aligning academics with sports-based development and strong family engagement.

The position oversees operations staff, purchasing, facilities, technology, and student data systems, ensuring compliance and high-quality services while reporting to the CMO and School Leader.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; ILL preferred.
• Experience in charter school operations.
• Experience with SIS (PowerSchool) including enrollment, attendance, scheduling, records, and data reporting.
• Knowledge of Tennessee Department of Education reporting requirements and deadlines.
• Familiarity with MSCS scorecard and MSCS Charter Annual Report.
• Proven ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work.
• Commitment to UD Team values: Teamwork, Leadership, and Communication.
• Transfer School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively serve on the school’s leadership team.
• Supervise operations staff and office personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and adhere to fiscal policies.
• Manage school purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Prepare campus for start-up/new school year with furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate hiring processes and set up email, SIS, and related systems.
• Oversee facilities maintenance and third-party contracts.
• Ensure functioning technology infrastructure (computers, phones, cameras, etc.).
• Manage food services, transportation, and student records processes.
• Oversee recruitment, enrollment, master scheduling, and bell schedule.
• Ensure compliance with local reporting requirements and safety protocols.
