Kin + Co. is seeking a Director of Sales to drive revenue growth across events, experiential and corporate settings. You will build and lead a sales team while growing a personal book of business and maintaining strong client relationships.

The role is remote-hybrid in New York, requiring expertise in business development, proposal management, and cross-functional collaboration with production, creative, and operations teams to exceed targets.

Qualifications

  • Must have proven sales/business development experience in the event production and live events space.
  • Strong client relationship management and ability to write and respond to client briefs and RFPs.
  • Proven track record of closing deals in the $M+ range.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales process from pitch to close across events, experiential, festivals, and corporate events.
  • Develop methodologies to achieve sales targets, execute the sales strategy and drive the sales pipeline.
  • Keep abreast of RFPs and respond in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate contracts and close on new business.
  • Build and develop a sales team.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams across production, creative, operations and senior leadership for proposals and pitches.

The Company

Our Client is an event production agency and they are looking for a Director of Sales.

The Role

The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth and leading and executing the sales strategy. The role will be building and managing a sales team, as well as owning and growing a personal book of business to grow the company. The Director of Sales must have a background in business development and sales and a strong client network of relationships across event production, experiential and corporate events. Role is Remote Hybrid in NY.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the sales process from pitch to close across events, experiential, festivals, and corporate events
  • Develop methodologies to achieve sales targets, execute the sales strategy and drive the sales pipeline
  • Keep abreast of RFPs and respond in a timely manner

  • The Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; as well as participate in overnight travel for events
  • Local and interstate travel may be required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 + benefits + commission annually, dependent on experience. The salary is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated base salary component of the total compensation package, which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
