Job summary

St. Vincent De Paul Mission of Bristol, Inc. seeks a Director of Programs to oversee shelter operations, resource center and outreach programs.

Responsibilities include supervising managers, ensuring policy adherence and facilitating housing-first, harm-reduction services. The role requires a 4-year degree, a minimum of five years in homelessness services, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in related field.
• Minimum five years Homelessness Services and Housing Placement experience preferred.
• Exempt position requiring strong leadership and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Shelter Manager to ensure staff work toward daily goals.
• Oversee the Resource Center Manager ensuring client support.
• Manage Cold Weather Overflow program including hiring, planning, and coverage.
• Supervise Street Outreach Team and provide annual performance evaluations.
• Meet weekly with Managers to discuss plans and provide guidance.
• Maintain daily communication with the Executive Director.
• Ensure compliance with DOH, DOH audits and CT Foodshare requirements.
