Job summary

Boston Rescue Mission in downtown Boston seeks an Associate Director of Programs to support the Executive Vice President of Programs. The role includes supervising staff, guiding program goals, and ensuring responsible service delivery for shelter and recovery services.

The ADP will train staff, oversee data collection and reporting, manage licensing, and assist with on-site oversight, emergencies, and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher; management experience in human services.
• At least 5 years experience with 12 step programs, group dynamics, and homeless individuals.
• Excellent communication and relations skills; cross-cultural sensitivity.
• Experience with electronic data collection and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guide BRM programs by formulating goals, objectives, and supervision.
• Provide staff training on philosophy and methodology; supervise care staff and clients.
• Be available on call 24 hours for staff support, crisis intervention, and consultation.
• Prepare annual and semi-annual reports; assist with on-site visits and records.
• Track program statistics; ensure licensures are up-to-date; manage safety and cleanliness.
