Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Development team. You will coordinate all preconstruction activities, manage cost estimation, schedules, budgets, and early-stage risk while aligning design intent with local regulations.

You will work closely with pre-development teams, planners, external partners, and consultants to ensure project readiness for on-time delivery within budget and to QTS standards. Travel up to 50% is expected for collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define Scope & Deliverables with clients and internal teams.
• Develop and manage preconstruction schedules.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams for alignment.
• Plan permits and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with estimators on cost estimates and budgets.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review design and tender documents for quality and compliance.
• Produce progress reports and maintain records.
