Job summary

Community Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Full Time Director of Patient Access to lead admissions, registration, eligibility verification and financial counseling across multiple sites. The role emphasizes patient flow, throughput, and staff development in a high-visibility setting with senior leadership interaction.

You will ensure compliance with policies, improve cash collections and denial prevention, and drive patient satisfaction through effective resource management and quality

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required; 2 years college preferred.
• Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience in patient registration.
• Working knowledge of governmental regulations and other reimbursement criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively, tactfully, and diplomatically with patients, families, medical staff, co-workers and third-party representatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admissions, registration, pre-certification/pre-authorization, insurance verification, financial counseling, cashiering, and control desk personnel.
• Demonstrate outstanding leadership and customer service that aligns with CARES values.
• Hire staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures; manage budgets and training.
• Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual reports of department performance.
