Community Hospital North seeks a Full Time Director of Patient Access to lead admissions, registration, pre-certification, insurance verification, and financial counseling across multiple sites. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to improve throughput, accuracy, and patient satisfaction while ensuring policy compliance and fiscal integrity.

Works with senior management to set goals, monitor performance and budget, and drive process improvements aligned with CARES

Qualifications

• High School graduate required; 2 years college preferred.
• CHAM Certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills in patient access.
• Extensive knowledge of admissions, registration, pre-certification, insurance verification, and financial counseling processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admissions, registration, pre-certification/pre-authorization, insurance verification, financial counseling, cashiering, and control desk staff.
• Demonstrate leadership and uphold CARES values in staff and patient interactions.
• Hire and develop Patient Access personnel; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Monitor throughput, KPIs, and budget; drive process improvements across sites.
• Prepare reports for executive management and support cost-control efforts.
