Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; 2 years college preferred.
• Experience in patient registration, verification and authorization preferred.
• Typing 40 WPM; accurate data entry and form completion.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and collect/enter demographics and insurance information.
• Verify benefits for non pre-registered patients and obtain signatures on required forms.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance at time of service.
• Pre-register 98% of scheduled patients at least 3 business days in advance.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and balance cash at the end of shifts.
