Job summary

The Rapid in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Director of Paratransit, ADA Program and Mobility Services to lead specialized transportation programs ensuring safe, reliable, and customer-focused service. You will oversee GO!

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus seven years of public transportation/ADA paratransit management experience.
• Master’s degree can substitute for two years of experience as noted.
• Experience administering federally funded transportation programs is preferred.
• Experience managing ADA complementary paratransit is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish department goals, measures, and policies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Develop operating budgets and manage department activities and contracts.
• Prepare RFPs and oversee service contracts for paratransit and ADA programs.
• Ensure compliance with ADA laws and oversee appeals processes.
• Coordinate with MDOT and community partners to improve service and outcomes.
