Job summary

Breakthrough T1D seeks an Outreach and Operations Director to lead community engagement and territory operations across the Mid America region. You will build strategies, manage volunteers, and drive donor acquisition to support Breakthrough T1D’s mission to accelerate therapies and empower families living with T1D.

You will work with staff and volunteers, align activities with national goals, and ensure operational excellence, data-driven results, and revenue growth across programs and events

Qualifications

• 5+ years of community building and engagement experience, with a proven track record in a mission-driven org.
• 2-3 years in a supervisory role with engagement/activation responsibilities.
• Strong relationship-building skills with volunteers and partners.
• High energy, integrity, courage, empathy, and creativity.
• Ability to travel within the territory; evenings and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and activate supporters across the territory; build chapter and territory pipeline.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers; provide resources and communications.
• Lead mission engagement, marketing, and advocate recruitment strategies across the territory.
• Admin: finance support, data entry, invoicing, reporting, and process improvements.
