Job summary

CS Industrial is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations in Sulphur, LA to lead multi-location passenger transportation and shuttle operations. This exempt, full-time role emphasizes safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement, with a flexible schedule and potential shift variability.

You will direct teams, coordinate with Safety and Maintenance, manage budgets and KPIs, and drive operational efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of operations or transportation management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of 10 or more employees.
• Hands-on experience with DOT compliance, transportation safety procedures, and operational training.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to complete background screening and DOT drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and daily operational oversight to managers, supervisors, drivers, and support personnel.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and retention of frontline leaders and team members.
• Establish expectations and foster accountability, coaching, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure consistent execution of policies and standards across multiple locations.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve performance.
• Oversee daily transportation and shuttle operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service.
• Monitor KPIs, trends, and customer feedback to drive data-informed decisions.
• Coordinate with safety, maintenance, HR, and other departments for alignment.
