Job summary

Amcor is seeking an HR Director of Operations to lead HR across five plant locations, aligning human capital initiatives with business goals. The role partners with operations leaders to drive performance, employee engagement, and strategic workforce planning while ensuring labor relations compliance and culture building across North America.

The position reports to the VP of HR for AFNA and requires extensive HR leadership, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resource experience.
• Multi-plant HR experience.
• Employee and Labor relations experience, including union-free exposure.
• Working knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all HR activities in assigned plant locations and functions.
• Partner with manufacturing leadership, commercial and central functions to drive human capital initiatives.
• Partner with talent acquisition and functional leaders to secure top talent.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations processes.
• Establish and analyze HR metrics and support business objectives.
• Provide guidance on performance coaching, PIP, IDP, investigations, discipline, and terminations.
• Lead and develop a large team of HR Business Partners.
• Support workforce planning and organizational redesign as needed.
• Align HR programs with business needs and culture.
