Job summary

Amcor Cumberland MD is seeking a Plant Director to oversee all day-to-day plant operations, driving safety, quality and profitability. You will coordinate staffing, capital, budgeting and production planning while promoting Amcor values across teams.

Qualifications

• Injection molding manufacturing experience required.
• Experience leading a progressive manufacturing facility.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Foster and advance a safety culture to achieve excellence.
• Provide operational and employee leadership for the facility.
• Manage financial performance and adjust to meet commitments.
• Oversee plant cost structure including labor and maintenance.
• Assist budgeting, production statistics and cost analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement objectives for the facility.
• Collaborate with managers to maintain Amcor values and culture.
• Develop and mentor plant employees.
• Ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
• Embed continuous quality improvement in daily culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, EEO and affirmative action.
• Coordinate capacity, staffing and equipment planning.
• Maintain rapid response capability for issues and emergencies.
