PAEA (PA Education Association) is seeking a strategic Director of Membership to deepen member understanding and deliver a data-informed experience that enhances engagement, retention, and value across programs.

Reporting to the Chief Talent and Experience Officer, this remote role leads membership operations, renewals, service, and intelligence, partnering with teams to turn insights into improved products, resources, and member journeys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of experience in membership, association management, or related field.
• Experience leading membership or customer-facing operations including renewals, retention, or service.
• Experience leading a team and managing performance.
• Strong experience with enterprise technology systems, databases, or CRM platforms.
• Ability to translate data and insights into strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute membership strategies to strengthen value and retention.
• Oversee onboarding, renewals, status, and related processes.
• Ensure membership systems, data, and workflows support business needs.
• Create dashboards and reports to monitor membership health and trends.
• Lead member services with a focus on timely, accurate, and empathetic support.
• Collaborate across teams to connect member insights to organizational strategy.
