Job summary

The Association of American Educators (AAE) is seeking a Membership Engagement Manager to enhance member participation across programs, recruit new members, and increase utilization of benefits. This role reports to the executive director and collaborates with a national and state team.

Based in our Newtown, PA office, the position requires travel up to 10% and occasional conferences. The ideal candidate will have strong communications, project management, and relationship-building skills to

Qualifications

• This role requires a minimum of three years of experience in communications, marketing, or membership.
• Strong attention to deadlines, detail, and quality.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and mass email software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate member communications strategies to boost engagement and benefits usage.
• Direct the member referral program and support nationwide members.
• Oversee development and distribution of monthly member emails.
• Lead editor for Education Matters newsletter content.
• Draft promotional materials and monitor external communications.
• Maintain and update website content and marketing materials.
• Track and report engagement metrics for leadership and stakeholders.
• Represent the association at national/state conferences as needed.
• Support logistics for conferences and assist in Newtown office operations.
• Participate in staff calls and leadership meetings.
