Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) seeks a Director of Membership Strategy and Innovation in Bethesda, MD to own the strategy, performance, and P&L for AFP Membership. This role leads cross-functional teams to enhance the member experience across lifecycle, drive revenue growth, and align benefits, pricing, and value propositions with market needs.

• Demonstrated success leading membership, customer, audience, product, subscription, or engagement strategy with measurable growth and retention outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, performance, and P&L for AFP Membership, with accountability for revenue, growth, retention, expenses, resources, and results.
• Advance a best-in-class member experience by strengthening AFP’s products, benefits, and engagement opportunities across the membership lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional teams in shaping and delivering a competitive, compelling membership value proposition, including the value bundle, pricing, and benefits.
• Use audience insights, performance data, and market trends to guide decisions, optimize strategy, and maximize impact.
• Provide strategic oversight for AFP’s community platform and learning management systems, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and high-value experience.
• Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering innovation, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Align membership initiatives with AFP’s organizational priorities, market needs, and global opportunities.
• Represent AFP professionally with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to other strategic and operational priorities as needed.
