ALTEN Technology USA is a leading engineering firm seeking a Director of Business to guide a team of Account Managers and Senior Leaders in achieving revenue and profit targets within MedTech and Life Sciences. The role emphasizes developing business plans, coaching the sales team, recruiting, and fostering executive-level client relationships.

The ideal candidate will recruit consultants, design growth strategies, and assign responsibilities to the team to drive performance and long-term client

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Engineering or Business is required.
• 8–10 years in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales, with 2–4 years in Sales Leadership.
• Experience in MedTech, Life Sciences, or engineering consulting services is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of candidates, clients, and employees (fluent English).
• Experience managing international business, offshore operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create new business opportunities within MedTech, Life Sciences, and engineering sectors.
• Manage existing account relationships and support active client projects.
• Optimize profitability for mid- to large-size accounts.
• Close deals on service- or time-based contracts.
• Determine proposals and pricing strategies to hit commercial objectives.
• Build strong customer relationships and maintain regular contact with customer managers.
• Coach consultants and team members, report KPIs weekly.
• Address performance issues through coaching and guidance.
• Travel to customer sites to understand needs and develop solutions.
