Job summary

Moravian University in Bethlehem, PA seeks a Director of Training & Development to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that strengthen leadership, employee skills, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees onboarding, professional development, ERGs, and collaboration with HR leadership to support growth, including plans for employees on PIPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (Master’s and/or SHRM certification highly preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in training, organizational development, or HR.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and instructional design skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
• Experience managing compliance training and tracking systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to build relationships across departments.
• Higher education or nonprofit experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that strengthen leadership, enhance employee skills, and ensure compliance with required trainings.
• Oversee onboarding, professional development initiatives, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
• Partner with supervisors and HR leadership to support employee growth, including individualized plans for those on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
• Monitor employee satisfaction and align learning opportunities with institutional goals.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
