Job summary

Motion Industries, Inc. seeks a Director, Business Development to lead a high-performing team, analyze top growth opportunities in targeted segments, and drive organic revenue growth with a strategic, value-based approach.

You will build cross-functional alignment, leverage CRM data, and articulate how Motion delivers cost-reducing solutions to procurement teams while mentoring a team and expanding markets across the US.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and ten years of related sales experience or equivalent combination.
P&L responsibility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and build out a high performing team to accelerate growth within targeted industry segments for prospect customers.
Identify and qualify prospect customers with potential for significant annual revenue.
Identify opportunities for disruption, penetration and/or creating new demand.
Shift from competing in the market to making our competition irrelevant through a strong value proposition.
Develop strategies to engage prospect customers via competitive advantages and supplier partners.
Tailor the value proposition offered by Motion to each potential customer.
Communicate how Motion delivers unique value to decision-makers and relate it to cost to produce.
Foster cross-functional alignment and shared strategy with internal teams.
Use CRM to document pipeline, milestones, and the buying journey.
Leverage market data to approach customers as unique opportunities.
Establish long-term account ownership with customers and internal teams.
Maintain engagement with Corporate Accounts for ongoing value and relationships.
Performs other duties as assigned.
