Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Director of Construction to join our Gas Power Generation team. This role leads the commissioning process across multiple projects, develops strategic commissioning plans, manages teams, and ensures compliance with industry standards to deliver on time and within budget.

The position requires overseeing testing, scheduling, and collaboration with stakeholders, while pursuing state licensing certifications and maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• Four-year construction management, engineering or related degree required.
• Experience with utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial, or EPC field execution preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commissioning process across multiple projects, including testing and system balancing.
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and project managers.
• Manage commissioning budgets and resource allocation.
• Develop detailed commissioning plans and schedules per project.
• Mentor and develop subordinate project managers and site teams.
