Blattner Company is seeking a Director of Construction to lead the commissioning across multiple gas power generation projects. The role focuses on developing commissioning plans, managing teams, and ensuring on-time, within-budget project delivery.

You will guide testing, system balancing, and performance validation while setting standards, budgets, and resource plans. Travel is extensive and leadership excellence is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Four-year construction management, engineering or related degree.
• Five+ years of directly relevant experience with utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial, or EPC field execution.
• Strong understanding of construction engineering and design concepts.
• Understanding of electrical construction and power delivery.
• Knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
• Expertise in relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills to organize and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of the commissioning process, including testing and system balancing.
• Develops and implements commissioning strategies aligned with goals and project needs.
• Establishes commissioning standards and best practices across the company.
• Collaborates with architects, engineers, contractors, project managers and stakeholders.
• Monitors activities to ensure compliance with specs and standards.
