Job summary

Smiths Group seeks a seasoned Director of Finance Shared Services to design, implement, and lead a high-performing SSC. You will establish standardized processes, robust controls, and performance metrics to support growth and ERP initiatives.

Reporting to the CFO, you will build the operating model from the ground up, recruit and develop the team, and drive automation and process improvements across AR, GL, and consolidation activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading a Finance Shared Services Centre or large-scale financial operations function.
• Proven experience establishing or transforming shared services operations.
• ERP implementation experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the Finance Shared Services operating model.
• Develop service delivery standards, governance structures, and escalation procedures.
• Lead migration of finance activities from business units into the shared services environment.
• Establish policies, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process standardization initiatives.
• Recruit managers and operational teams across finance service lines.
• Establish performance objectives and service-level agreements (SLAs).
