Job summary

Accrue Partners is seeking a Director-level accounting leader to join a high-visibility finance transformation. This role reports to the Global Controller and partners with the CFO on priority initiatives, guiding the evolution of the accounting organization as it grows, modernizes systems, and builds a broader Finance Transformation team.

Job description

The client is seeking a Director-level accounting leader to join a high-visibility team during a period of finance and accounting transformation. This role will report to the Global Controller while partnering closely with the CFO on priority finance initiatives. The position will help guide the evolution of the accounting organization, including growth, systems modernization, and process improvement, and will initially lead two Senior Accountants while building a foundation for a broader Finance Transformation team over time.

The client offers direct ownership of the accounting and finance technology roadmap as the organization moves away from manual processes toward scalable, integrated, and automated ways of operating. The Director will lead initiatives across systems integration, automation, AI adoption, acquisition integration, controls, data integrity, and process improvement. The role requires high-trust leadership with exposure to senior executives and ownership of initiatives that will influence how the global finance function operates across multiple markets and jurisdictions.

Key priorities include strengthening how financial data flows from source systems into the ERP and reporting environment by partnering with IT to connect systems that do not currently communicate effectively. The role will evaluate and optimize existing platforms, streamline finance workflows, and identify where automation can reduce manual effort. Additional responsibilities will include guiding practical AI use cases with appropriate guardrails, leading transformation priorities tied to private ownership changes and related reporting needs, and ensuring controls and data integrity are strengthened while integrating acquired entities into accurate financial reporting.
