Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, capital construction, or infrastructure operations.
• Professional credentials in facilities/capital project management are preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assigns work to other employees and supervises related activities.
• Makes final decisions on hiring employees; scheduling work hours; evaluating performance; handling grievances; training and promotions.
• Leads and manages the County's capital construction program, including planning, design, and delivery of multi-million dollar projects to meet objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Manages staff performance, mentorship, and appraisals to provide a fiscally responsible facility management service.
• Determines strategic goals and operational priorities for upkeep, maintenance, repair, remodel, and construction of all County facilities.
• Negotiates and administers contracts for capital and facility projects, including RFP/RFQ processes and compliance monitoring.
• Prepares and presents the annual budget for facility management needs, including future outlooks.
• Coordinates with Board of Supervisors and County leadership to identify needs and prioritize improvements.
• Oversees the building access security program and other safety/environmental programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
