Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Director, Event Technology (SNE) to lead AV operations at a Charleston location, driving revenue, profitability, and world-class service for venue partners. The role manages a small team and collaborates with regional leadership to optimize P&L and service delivery.

You will oversee technical and operational aspects, build client relationships, and ensure high-performance standards while coordinating with sales, operations, and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of audio visual experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with computer software and programs, including Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate Company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels of their organization and provide outstanding customer service while focusing on customer retention.
• Drive revenue and profitability by managing labor, equipment sub-rentals and other costs, and ensuring timely invoicing and reporting.
• Perform and direct daily floor operations including scheduling, equipment setups, operation, and strikes.
• Act as the on-site technician for events when necessary and troubleshoot equipment and software issues.
• Create effective sales strategies, prepare quotes and proposals, and participate in site visits and planning meetings.
• Maintain a professional image and ensure adherence to Encore standards and customer expectations.
