Job summary

Zignal Labs is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and scale our AI and engineering teams. You will drive technical strategy, architecture, and delivery across frontend, backend, and AI features for national security operations.

You will mentor teams, shape the engineering lifecycle to an AI-first SDLC, and partner with data science and product teams to operationalize advanced AI capabilities while delivering enterprise-ready web applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in leadership.
• Proven record shipping enterprise-grade full stack web apps using AI/ML services.
• Experience implementing AI-augmented development environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong AI-assisted testing and QA practices.
• Experience operationalizing AI-driven services and integrating ML models.
• Proven ability to recruit and retain remote engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale software teams across full stack, core services, data engineering, and AI integrations.
• Architect and drive user-facing web platforms, ensuring UI/backend/API and AI inference integration.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Product to operationalize advanced AI capabilities (LLMs, CV, narrative detection) in enterprise features.
• Lead AI-first SDLC transformation with AI-assisted coding, automated code review, and intelligent CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement AI-driven automated QA with generative testing and self-healing test suites to reduce regressions.
