Job summary

DEFCON AI, Inc. is seeking a Technical Director, AI Decision Systems to lead a cross-functional team delivering a new AI-enabled decision-support capability for the federal government.

You will translate mission needs and product priorities into clear technical plans, establish priorities, and ensure secure, explainable operation across teams. This is a remote-first leadership role requiring strategic thinking and the ability to move quickly while ensuring secure, tested delivery.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance is preferred or required for the role.
• Experience leading zero-to-one platforms or mission capabilities.
• Experience delivering technology in regulated environments such as defense or federal sectors.
• Ability to translate complex needs into actionable technical plans with clear priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional delivery teams spanning product, design, engineering, data, and security.
• Own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery from discovery to deployment.
• Align software, data, AI, infrastructure, security, and quality into one system.
• Mentor and scale a high-performing technical organization.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and ambiguity and resolve them before delivery.
