Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance, via USRM Technology, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the Property & Specialty (P&S) Delivery portfolio. You will guide a team of ~150 FTE and contractors, setting strategy, aligning stakeholders, and delivering product capabilities that meet profitability and growth targets.

You will accelerate digital delivery, enable speed-to-market for product launches, and drive modernization across platforms while ensuring high quality and business value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience running a large-scale software delivery engine across distributed teams.
• P&C or Specialty insurance experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and project planning methodologies.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering organization of ~150 FTEs and contractors.
• Define and drive technology strategy and cross-functional partnerships.
• Use data-driven insights to prioritize portfolio decisions and accelerate speed-to-market.
