Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team responsible for high- and medium-voltage infrastructure across 30+ North American facilities.

You will guide capital projects, develop design standards, and mentor SMEs while collaborating with Plant Support Engineering, Sourcing, PMO and Operations. Expect ~30% travel and a strategic role driving safety, reliability, and value for energy-from-waste assets.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years in an electrical engineering role with leadership experience
• Experience with MV and HV systems (switchgear, transformers, relaying)
• Technical due diligence for equipment sourcing from low-cost countries is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Design Engineering team for energy-from-waste facilities across North America
• Oversee capital projects and front-end loading for electrical infrastructure
• Develop and maintain electrical design standards library
• Provide engineering support to operations and coordinate with cross-functional leaders
• Mentor SMEs and lead feasibility studies balancing technical and economic considerations
