Job summary

QTS Data Centers in the United States is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical design across mission-critical development projects. You will set standards, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure scalable, reliable electrical systems for large facilities.

This senior role requires deep technical leadership, strong communication with executives, and the ability to drive complex programs from concept through execution in a fast-growing data center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of electrical engineering design experience in construction or mission-critical facilities.
• 12+ years of program management on large, complex projects.
• Direct experience designing electrical systems for data centers or large-scale infrastructure.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering team, providing technical direction and performance management.
• Oversee electrical design across multiple projects and regions.
• Drive development and implementation of electrical engineering solutions supporting growth and operations.
• Review and approve designs ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Development, Pre-Construction, and Construction teams on campus-level master planning and complete electrical design.
