Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America, overseeing high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems and related plant equipment. You’ll collaborate with site/regional teams, manage capital projects, and drive feasibility studies with a substantial travel expectation.

The role reports to the VP of Engineering and emphasizes talent development, budgeting, and cross-functional partnerships to advance growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and electrical design for large facilities.
• Leadership of technical teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience across concept design to start-up and operations support.
• PE license and Six Sigma Green Belt are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: manage and assign work across the team.
• Lead electrical infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Lead technical programs of strategic importance.
• Develop and maintain electrical specifications and standards library.
• Provide engineering support to operations and upsell improvements.
• Manage external engineering partners and FEL activities.
• Coach and mentor SMEs and lead feasibility studies balancing cost and tech.
