Job summary

NScale is seeking a Director of Utility Development (East) to lead end-to-end utility development for its East region data center portfolio in the United States. You will secure power, water, fiber, and related infrastructure, acting as the primary technical and commercial owner with external partners to meet aggressive schedules.

Ideal candidates bring 8–12+ years in utility development, strong experience with utilities/ISOs/RTOs in Eastern markets, and a track record of delivering complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12+ years in utility development or grid-connected infrastructure, with data center exposure.
• Proven experience with utilities and ISOs/RTOs in Eastern U.S. markets.
• Experience securing fiber connectivity and negotiating with outside fiber providers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own East region utility development strategy for data center projects.
• Lead engagements with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and transmission owners from diligence to energization.
• Negotiate interconnection terms, service agreements, and tariffs with Legal and Energy Procurement.
• Coordinate fiber routes, water/sewer, and site utilities to meet schedules.
