Job summary

Sysco is seeking an experienced Delivery Operations leader to direct the activities of delivery staff, ensure safety, and optimize routes. You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and asset utilization while complying with DOT/OSHA regulations and maintaining accurate logs.

The role requires strong leadership, 7+ years of related experience, and a Class A CDL with HazMat/Doubles. You will collaborate with Sales and Marketing to address customer needs and improve service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7 years' related experience and/or training.
• Valid Class A CDL and HazMat and Doubles Certification.
• Defensive driving program completion.
• Excellent command of English and ability to read/ interpret regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.
• Ensure management staff effectively handles day-to-day delivery activities and adherence to SOPs and routes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other agencies and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Direct labor hours, travel, fuel and supplies within budget to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare work schedules and manage asset utilization to support the delivery department.
• Monitor KPIs and customer satisfaction; adjust activities to meet targets.
• Coordinate with Sales/Marketing to resolve customer or delivery issues and visit customer sites as needed.
• Maintain productivity and routing software usage and departmental communication.
• Lead disciplinary actions, staff development and performance reviews as required.
