Job summary

Sysco Arkansas is seeking a Transportation Director to oversee the delivery department, focusing on strategic oversight, project implementation, and safety. You will manage labor, routes, budgets, and compliance while ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in transportation or logistics, and a valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Doubles endorsements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7 years related experience or training.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Doubles preferred.
• Able to lead delivery staff and manage KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.
• Ensure management staff effectively handles day-to-day delivery activities and adherence to SOPs.
• Oversee compliance with local, state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours, travel, fuel, and supplies within budget to maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer/delivery issues and opportunities.
• Establish productivity and routing software usage; train staff and enforce policies.
