Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Director IT Data & Analytics to lead the strategy, delivery, and governance of enterprise data and analytics capabilities across the organization. You will oversee data engineering, modeling, reporting, and analytics solutions, partnering with business, IT, compliance, and operations to prioritize use cases and deliver scalable data products.

You will mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, drive agile delivery, establish data product mindset, and ensure data quality,

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data engineering, analytics, reporting, or BI teams.
• Proven coaching experience at multiple levels.
• Experience implementing cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and semantic models.

Responsibilities

• Owns the creation and ongoing maintenance of a multi-year data and analytics strategy.
• Aligns with governance teams to ensure data quality, lineage, metadata, and KPI standards.
• Establishes a data product mindset for dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Partners with business leaders to understand needs and promote adoption of analytics solutions.
• Directs resources to support agile development and delivery.
• Oversees data engineering pipelines and scalable data integration.
• Maintains a transparent backlog and prioritizes requests.
• Mentors and develops team members in skills needed for data/analytics.
