Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Manager, Strategic Pricing & Analytics for Health Plan Relations to lead advanced payer contract modeling and economic analyses across markets. The role collaborates with the contracting team and cross-functional stakeholders to build financial models, interpret outputs, and guide negotiation strategies.

It may supervise analyst resources and requires strong Excel skills and healthcare analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics, with a minimum of 2 years payer contract modeling experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in healthcare reimbursement methodologies (e.g., percent of CMS, proprietary fee schedules, groupers, carve-outs) and their application in contract modeling.
• Experience working with data from various billing platforms (e.g., HST, gPM, AdvantX, Insight/NextGen, SIS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to the Health Plan Relations contracting team with advanced payer contract modeling.
• Lead modeling and analysis of current and proposed payer contract rates and present insights to leadership.
• Oversee data collection, validation, and cleanup for analysis to ensure accuracy.
• Establish quality controls for modeling outputs and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate biannual data requests and data preparation for analyses.
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies with Revenue Cycle Management.
• Execute ad-hoc reimbursement analyses to drive strategic decisions.
