Novo Nordisk Cambridge, the global Transactions group, seeks a Director of Business Development to evaluate external growth opportunities, oversee due diligence, and execute strategic transactions across therapeutic areas. You will collaborate with therapeutic heads, alliance management, and senior leadership to shape the company’s external growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience.
• Experience presenting to senior management on partnership opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead all elements of due diligence and deal negotiation.
• Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
• Ability to navigate a matrix organization and build cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Search & Evaluation to identify high-potential deals and drive diligence.
• Lead cross-functional evaluations of therapeutic programs from preclinical to clinical stages.
• Participate in and, ideally, lead negotiations in business transactions.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, commercial, clinical and scientific teams to propose BD deals to senior management.
• Contribute to strategy planning for financial investment decisions.
